One of those do nothing days

Today was a mix of sun and clouds and the humidity has crept back up there, still a nice day and it is August!

It was a stay at home day and actually it was a very nice pleasant relaxing day. It was pancake breakfast day and this time we had strawberries for them along with syrup and whipped cream.

I did the usual morning chores and then really didn't do much of anything else. I got some reading done and a little knitting. We sat out on the front porch for a while - had some nice cold watermelon out there too. I did a couple of crossword puzzles too - not the hard ones! I have a book of them and every so often I get in the mood and do a few.

We made homemade pizza with garlic for supper which we haven't done in a while. In the winter we make pizza almost every Sunday. As usual I made the dough and Kenny makes the actual pizza. I get the easy job. :-)

No Netflix for tonight so we watched All Creatures Great and Small. My snack was 4 chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk.

This weeks Bible verse is from Psalms.
In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice,
in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
Psalm 5:3

Perfect Sunday and a fantastic Bible verse...I'm taking special note of that one.

I love those do-nothing days. They don't come around too often at our house. Next time we have one, we will definitely have pancakes!

I had a day very similiar to yours. I did get my list of things I wanted to do yesterday done. I just love those kind of days.

I used to pray in the mornings. I should start doing that again...it made the rest of the day much sweeter. :)

Let me know how you like the Stephen King book.
