I finished up my cleaning today with the downstairs bathroom and washing the kitchen floor. I did a few loads of laundry. The first two loads dried fast with the sun and breeze, so I was able to do another load in the afternoon.
After lunch I went outside and cleaned out the gutter along the back of the house. Not the highest one, just the lower one over the deck. There were lots of those spinners off of the maple trees in the gutter and the squirrels sit there eating them and the mess spills down on to the deck. I've have been wanting to clean it out for a long time, but it's just one of those SLJ's that I keep putting off . Now that's it's done I wonder why I put it off so long!
Remember yesterday Kenny got a new small camera? Well, he couldn't get it to download pictures on to the computer so today after supper we went back to Best Buy. They couldn't get it to work either. It is supposed to be imac compatible but I guess it isn't after all. We exchanged it for a camera just like mine only it's the newer model. I've never had any problems with mine at all (knock on wood) and I've said it before, I love my camera, it's so easy and simple to use.
I took these two pictures early this evening. I took both of them at the same time of day. This one looks dark because I aimed it right at the sun. I guess that's obvious!

For a break between Roots shows we got Dexter from Netflix and watched that tonight. We saw the first season and the second season has just come out. It's about a serial killer who works for the police department who kills serial killers. A strange show that is pretty creepy and gross and so different from the kind of shows we usually watch but I like it.
I had ice cream again for my snack and then did some knitting.
I read some too and will again when I finish up on the computer.

I'm using your post today and yesterday to motivate me for a major housecleaning tomorrow. I have let things go too long around here and tomorrow is the day to tackle it. I hope I wake up with your energy.

I just canceled my cleaning service and am trying to figure out a good routine for cleaning. I know you have a good rhythm going but I can't remember your system. Do you have it tagged (labeled) on your blog? It's so nice to read your happiness.
Your home is so pretty I'd ask to buy it when you move if I lived in that area!
We are getting ready to watch the next season of Dexter too! I didn't read that part of your post closely since I didn't want to come across any spoilers. That show is creepy but good - I agree. :-)
I just like everything I've seen of your house. It looks so pretty. I am going to do some deep cleaning of my house this weekend as I have a housesitter coming in to watch the dogs while I'm gone. Don't want her to think I'm a slob.
