Kenny took a vacation day and we planned to go to Patapsco Park and hike on a few trails there. We got up, had a quick breakfast and got there a little after 7:00 (it's near our home - about 15 minutes away) and it was CLOSED. Didn't open till 9:00 and all along the road was no parking so we couldn't even park and walk. It was too long to wait for it to open and we didn't feel like leaving and coming back so we decided to go walk around the lake at Centennial Park, which is VERY close to where our new town house will be. For those of you who don't read my walk blog, and care to read about the walk you can read about it here.
We were back home just before lunch so we ate and then got Brad's afghan packaged up and ready to go.

We went out after lunch and the first stop was to the post office, then we went to Walmart and we both got a couple pairs of new jeans. I couldn't believe I found jeans there. I got lucky and bought the last 2 pair in my size!!
We stopped in at the office for Parks and Recs and picked up the map with all the walking paths in Columbia. It's amazing the amount of paths there are throughout Columbia!! No wonder why I get lost at times! :-)
I made a mistake on the afghan I started for Nola that I couldn't fix so I had to rip it all out. I'll make a start again tomorrow.
I read some more of 7th Heaven and will read some more of it later.
Cheryl was in the neighborhood this evening and stopped by for a short visit to say hi. Always nice to see her.
Roots, from Netflix didn't arrive today, but that's okay because we just watched another episode of All Creatures Great and Small. Another night with ice cream for my snack.
It's always nice when Kenny takes an unexpected vacation day off in the middle of the week and I had a most enjoyable day.
Hope yours was too!

It was great seeing you, meeting Kenny, and getting to see those amazing sunflowers. Not only were they tall, but the flowers were enormous! Sorry I showed up unannounced!
You and Ken have such great quality times together. You guys are really going to love retirement! :D
Come walk with me and I'll show you an entrance to the park that's always open. I'm thinking of going Friday afternoon if you are free.
