We had some sun today but again in the afternoon it got cloudy and we got a couple of light rain showers but still a very nice day.
I ate my breakfast out on the front porch this morning and did my usual morning stuff around the house. I left around 10:20 in the Vette to do Meals on Wheels. I only had 3 people today but all of them are fine and I got to talk a bit longer with each of them. I had a bit of a scare with the car today. I was stopped for a red light in the right lane behind a car, two cars were along side me in the left lane. I looked in my mirror and saw a truck coming behind me much too fast. There was nowhere for me to go and I sat there holding my breath. Heard brakes screech but he stopped in time. That sure gets your heart pumping fast!!
I got back to the kitchen earlier than usual and since my daughter lives right around the corner I stopped in to see her and we had a nice little visit. Didn't see the grandkids - they were still in bed!! Well they are teenagers and like their sleep. :-) They are enjoying their last week or so of no school.
Once I got home I ate a late lunch and did my exercise tape. I sat on the porch and I got all 303 stitches put on the needles for Nola's afghan. Once I get finished with the first two rows I can read my knitting and know where I am. Before then I have to do a lot of counting so I have to do those first two rows with no distractions. Kenny came home before I got my two rows knitted, but at least I have all the stitches on the needle.
We went up to the town house right after Kenny got home. After thinking it over I decided I didn't want the cherry cabinets after all and would rather have the oak so we went to change that. Julia said she would check if the change could be made because after 30 days you aren't supposed to make any changes. I think that is crazy!! They haven't even started building the houses yet. It's not like this is some major building change. Well, before I get too upset about it we shall wait for Monday to see what Julia says.
While we were out we stopped at our favorite pizza place for supper and then did a few errands.
We had our usual evening routine. Ice cream for snacks and we watched the first hour and a half of the first Roots DVD. The whole series is on 6 DVD's, each 3 hours long. It is as good as I remember it but some of it is really hard to watch.
I only got to read a little bit - I plan to read a bit more later.
Happy Friday - hope it was a good one for you!

Sounds like a busy day. I have yet to see Roots, but I almost bought the books when the Classics were on sale last week. I should read it!
It's funny, we're looking to redo our cabinets in cherry wood. Since we live down south, we want more of a northern feel. (We miss the northeast!) We also prefer wood floors to tile. I can't wait to see more pics of your new place!
I'm so glad that truck stopped in time. Whenever I have to brake hard the first thing I do is look in my rearview mirror and hope the person behind me is paying attention.
I forget what your favorite pizza place is. I love pizza.
Have a great Saturday. I'm at work, sitting around because of a cancellation. Feast or famine around here.
Thank goodness the truck stopped in time. The car can be fixed or replaced but the world be a sad place without someone like you?
